WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
On 4 July 2026, swimmers from six nationalities came together for the first official Serre-Ponçon Swim Challenge.
From a pre-dawn start at Chadenas, participants took on either the 12 km crossing to Baie Saint-Michel or the full 20 km route to Les Lionnets, each accompanied by dedicated kayak support.
It was a day that brought together swimmers, kayakers, volunteers and local partners around a shared love of open-water swimming and this remarkable lake and laid the foundations for the next edition.
